Public Sector Ombudsman meeting - London

The Gibraltar Public Services Ombudsman recently hosted a Public Sector Ombudsman meeting in London on 30th and 31st October 2014.
The United Kingdom’s (UK) Parliamentary and Health Services Ombudsman and all other UK Public Sector Ombudsmen, together with the Ombudsmen for Ireland and Malta, meet on a regular basis to discuss matters of common interest and explore cooperation between their respective offices.
Ombudsman Mario Hook said that these meetings offer an opportunity for Ombudsmen to become acquainted with the latest developments in other schemes and working practices.
These regular meetings also provide the forum for exchange of ideas and advice from fellow Ombudsmen.
On this occasion, the meetings were held at Gibraltar House in London. Mr Hook described the event as very successful. His office is already busy developing some of the ideas discussed.
